ADIT Tamarindo is here to help the community. However, it is important to note that you must contact the correct organization or municipal resource to support various needs in Tamarindo and Santa Cruz.
Our services are non governmental and we do not have the ability to file reports, complaints, or issues on your behalf.
To help you find what you need faster our team has compiled a list of answers with links and phone numbers (when applicable) to our most frequently asked questions.
If you are involved in an accident or have a medical emergency, you can call 911 and the Costa Rica Red Cross will send an ambulance. However, there are a a few private options in Tamarindo:

To report a crime, you can call 911, or contact the Tamarindo Police Station directly at 2600 2099 or 2654 5086.
You can also report through the SOSAFE app, which is connected to the ADIT Security Officers, and the Police as well.
If you are enrolled in the Tamarindo Security Program you can access assistance by sending a message in the Whatsapp chat of your neighborhood.
The electric service in Tamarindo, Langosta, and surrounding areas is provided by Coopeguanacaste. In case of electrical malfunctions or power outages, please call +506 2681-4700, or message via whatsapp +506 8511-0273
Depending on the location, the Water Service is provided by ASADA Tamarindo or AyA. It is important to have the number of contract or medidor in hand before you call to report.

The opening hours at the Municipal Valuable Waste recovery center in Santa Cruz are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. They currently have collection routes for recoverable waste in Tamarindo and Langosta every Thursday.
