Accessible Beach Ramps

Improve Beach access to those members of our community in wheelchairs

The beach is a quintessential part of Tamarindo that all should be able to enjoy. Our Wheelchair accessible, over sand beach ramps encourage everyone to enjoy the beach in an accessible way.

Key Details

Made of environmentally responsible materials

Designed and built by the “Dona Tapa” (Donate Lid) organization that uses plastic bottle lids to build the walkway

The retractable path ensures that it will not be covered and lost beneath the sand

Improves beach and water access to sandy areas previously unreachable in most wheelchairs

Additionally improves access to those who may not be wheelchair bound but have a difficult time walking in the deep sand
